This is a no reserve penny auction for a Colt New Service 45 revolver in .45 Colt. Serial number- 6085. After running a serial number lookup, we've determined this revolver was manufactured in 1901. Lockup is tight and timing is on. A vintage Bauer Bros MFG Co. leather holster is also included.

<br />The New Service is a large frame revolver and came in several chamberings including .38-40 and .45 ACP. It may be best known for its use as the Army Model of 1917 (in .45 ACP.) The 7 1/2" barrel on this revolver makes for a long sight radius which will be nice for target shooting or even handgun hunting. Please refer to the photos as rust is present on most metal surfaces, and pitting is seen in the bore.
