This is a no reserve penny auction for an Enfield No. 1 SHTLE MK III* bolt-action rifle in .303 British. Serial number-18340. This rifle features a 25-inch barrel with an excellent bore, and all visible serial numbers appear to be matching. Manufactured in 1940. The Lee-Enfield rifle was the standard issue rifle of the British Empire through the first half of the 20th century. The UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and British India all manufactured and used the Enfield rifle through WWI and WWII.
