This is a no reserve penny auction for a Marlin 39A lever action rifle in .22 S/L/LR. Serial number – P12038. This 39A is in good condition and features a 20 inch micro groove barrel with an excellent bore. The "P" prefix in the serial number leads us to believe this rifle was manufactured in 1957. It also features a "JM" stamp on the barrel showing it was manufactured by the original Marlin team. The Marlin 39A represents the oldest and longest continuously produced shoulder firearm in the world. The 39A is still considered one of the finest examples of a lever .22 rifle, and one of the most accurate .22 rifles ever produced. It is also the best-selling lever rimfire in U.S. history.
