This is a Mosin-Nagant M44 bolt-action rifle 7.62x54R. Serial number- 010256. This rifle was manufactured in 1944 at the Izhevsk Factory. Includes bayonet and it appears all serials match and there may have been a serial stamp mistake on the magazine and was crossed out. There is a PW Arms import stamp on the left side of the receiver. The Russian M44 Mosin Nagant Carbine was manufactured by the Izhevsk arsenal in high numbers, however, it appears this rifle is dated the same year that the M44 was adopted in 1944. This must be as early an M44 as you can find!
