Savage Model 99F Featherweight Hammerless Lever Action

The Savage 99 was a breakthrough rifle. Only hammerless lever, rotary magazine, very strong, rear lug and so on. Only American lever to feed pointed bullet ammo. An American classic and very highly regarded. Go out west, and you find it is the only rifle really held to a higher regard than the Winchesters. They were and are the thinking man’s lever or the sportsman’s rifle. It looks to be manufactured in 1959.
