This is a no reserve penny auction for a limited quantity Smith & Wesson 5904 Illinois State Police 75th Anniversary Edition semi-automatic pistol in 9mm. Serial number – VKP0409. This pistol is in excellent condition with an excellent bore! It includes two 10-round magazines, the original blue plastic case, as well as a wood and glass presentation case which is branded with the Illinois State Police seal, and the 75th anniversary logo. This is the gun that the Illinois State Police carried in 1997. These guns were made in limited quantity for active and retired officers to purchase. This pistol appears to be in like new, mint condition! The 3035 on the side is the officers badge number (or possibly car number) not a sequence number. Officers chose the number to be engraved. This beautiful ISP special edition pistol features a highly polished slide with gold leaf scroll work, as well as, a grip medallion of the ISP State Police seal. The Smith and Wesson 5904 is a durable and reliable, double-action defensive handgun with an alloy frame, ambi safety, and three dot sights.
